FIBRE FRACTIONATOR (SOMERVILLE TYPE)

This Instrument is used for determining the "Sieves Content in the Ground Wood Pulp". It is specially designed in accordance with the second report of the "Pulp Evaluation Committee" to the "Technical Section of Paper Makers Association".

The main test chamber contains a slotted screen plate with 0.15 mm slots, underneath of which, actuation is performed through a "Motor Driven Neoprene Diaphragm". This continuous process enables the suction for fractionation on the surface of the screen, filled with the sample of diluted pulp. A specially designed and calibrated High Pressure Water Jet is fitted on the screen to disperse the pulp over it and to maintain the controlled flow of water supply as well. The water over flow is maintained through a separate chamber with a drain & control valve. The motorized unit is mounted on the sturdy base and fitted with the operational control panel.
