PUNCTURE RESISTANCE TESTER

The UEC Puncture Resistance Tester is “Mostly Used” in the Packaging Industry, which determines the Resistance/ Durability of a Package against Puncture, during Handling. The Puncture Resistance is measured as the Energy Required to Force a Puncture Head of Specified Design through a Test Piece of “Paper Board / Corrugated Board” under the “Specified Testing Conditions”. 

A test piece is clamped between Two Horizontal Plates, each of which is having a Triangular Hole.  A “Triangular Pyramid Puncture Head”, attached to a Swinging Pendulum, Punctures the Test Piece and the “Energy Required to Force” it, is measured on a Graduated Scale.

Measuring range 0-5, 0-10,0-20 & 0-36 Nm OR  0-58.5, 0-200, 0-400, 0-800, 0-1600 kgf.
