UEC’s Triple Disc Cow Dung Refiner expands on the current
capabilities of the double disc refiner by improving the slurry beating degree
further to produce fine pulp. The abrasion section contains two stationary
serrated discs on either side of a rotating disc. The stock flows through the
inlet and is pushed to the perimeter of the discs by centrifugal force. Since
the material passes through multiple discs, it provides more retention time for
the fibres to experience abrasion. The Triple Disc Refiner is useful in mass
production applications where low power consumption and high performance are
required.
The unit is constructed from a cast iron body with the
runner-head casing support made from stainless steel. Paired angular contact
ball bearings ensure smooth and efficient operation with low vibrations. The
redesigned refiner from UEC uses coupling to connect the motor to the main
shaft. This ensures increased grinding performance, efficiency, reliability,
and space utilization.
